Netanyahu: "Liberman can make a government with us, that's his decision. If we run in elections, we'll win."
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who took off this morning for Lisbon, addressed the political deadlock preventing formation of a government in Israel.
"Liberman can make a government with us, it's his decision. The State now needs a unity government and not a completely unnecessary election, but if we run into elections, we'll win them," Netanyahu said.
"I want unity. After the generous suggestions we offered Blue and White, they don't move a millimeter. We made all kinds of proposals including ways to ensure that this unity government holds up; they simply refuse. It conflicts with very large national interests because of the personal interest of a private individual - Yair Lapid. That's unfortunate."
The Prime Minister added: "If this isn't possible we'll hold elections and win the elections but I'm making every effort so that we still have the possibility of a unity government and I'm still open to talks with anyone who wants to meet and I hope it will bear fruit."
