A 36-year-old Muslim resident of Iblin village was arrested by police for possession of a Beretta-type pistol, magazines, and ammunition for various types of weapons near his residence.
The suspect will be brought to trial to extend his detention in Haifa Magistrates' Court.
Police said general police operations are continuing in all districts across the country to search for and seize illegal weapons.
