No obligation to set up a Knesset committee to discuss Netanyahu's immunity

Knesset Legal Advisor Eyal Yinon has ruled that there is no impediment to the establishment of a Knesset committee to discuss the immunity of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, even if there is no government, but there is no obligation to do so.

Yinon said such a request could not be submitted to the Regulatory Committee, since the request must be heard by the Knesset House Committee which will be formed only after a government is formed. He also stated that the corruption indictment against Netanyahu could not be submitted before the immunity application becomes clear.
