President Reuven Rivlin visited, Monday the day-care rehabilitation center of Ezra Le’Marpeh, founded and headed by Israel Prize winner Rabbi Elimelech Firer.
The Bnei Brak facility is staffed by physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, employment advisors and personal trainers, and has a speech clinic and general medical rehabilitation support. President Rivlin congratulated Rabbi Firer for his work, saying, "The Rabbi’s ability to learn the minutiae of the medical world leaves us speechless time after time. This wonderful institution you have built here is a source of light in so many homes where darkness has fallen, and there is nothing like it in the whole world. Your ability to bring hope to those who have none, even when it is their last hope, is a true act of chesed, of lovingkindness. I asked to come here as an act of appreciation on behalf of the whole country.”
