Border Guards detained a 19-year-old resident of eastern Jerusalem questioning after he was allegedly caught trying to smuggle eggs and meat in a truck, through the A-Za'im crossing, east of Jerusalem.
The eggs and meat, with no regulatory stamps or permits, were hidden in a double-walled compartment under the passenger seats. A total of 28 holders, containing hundreds of eggs were seized, along with 140 kilograms of meat transported under substandard conditions.
