MK Dr. Shlomo Karhi (Likud) addressed the Banking Supervisor's retirement announcement, "I wish success to the Supervisor of Banks Dr. Hedva Bar in her endeavors.
"At the same time, I see in her term the imbalance of regulatory bias in favor of banks, at the expense of consumers and citizens of Israel. I call on her at the end of her role to order what she promised us two years ago and to cancel or at least reduce the interest rate that we pay for our money with a bank guarantee backed by an escrow - an indescribable absurdity.
"I will continue to work to stop the banking exploitation and fight for implementing the recommendations of the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee."
