An 81-year-old driver of a mobility scooter has died at Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikva from injuries suffered this morning when the buggy was hit by a car on Highway 9 near the exit from Baqa Al-Gharbiyye, headed toward Hadera.
The driver of private car, about the age of 53, suffered minor injuries and was evacuated to Hillel Yaffe Hospital. Police have launched an investigation into the accident.
