Ophir Liebstein, the head of Shaar Hanegev Regional Council, commented on Tuesday evening’s rocket fire toward southern Israel.
"Unfortunately, we are continuing the familiar and tiring reality where the residents of Shaar Hanegev are at war and it’s business as usual," he said.
"If we did not internalize this in the last round of escalation, tonight we received another reminder that there is no routine and no silence in the Gaza envelope," he added. "I say again - the war of attrition that we have been in for the past two years must end. The State of Israel must strive for an immediate solution. The residents of Shaar Hanegev deserve security and a sense of security."
