Dozens of Arkia employees have been invited to a hearing before dismissal. Employees include air crews, flight attendants and even pilots.
Since the closure of Eilat airport and Sde Dov's old airport, the company's holding, which holds 70% of the traffic, has dropped by tens of percent, news reported here.
Arkia said "Changing market conditions and closing Sde Dov required Arkia to significantly streamline its workforce, including reducing manpower and wage cuts. These moves are done in full and in agreement with employees, who hold 30% of the company's shares. It should be emphasized that the Nakash family continues to support the company."
