Transportation Minister Bezalel Smutrich has signed the Airport Authority development plan for the next three years at a total cost of 5.9 billion shekels.
Smotrich said, "The plan will allow Ben-Gurion to go from 24 million passengers this year to 40 million passengers in 2025." He said the government should make a decision on establishing a complementary airport for Ben-Gurion Airport, in order to respond to the expected increase in passengers.
