The Supreme Court dismissed a petition by Tiberias Mayor Ron Cobi on Monday and adopted Interior Minister Aryeh Deri's decision to continue proceedings to remove the mayor from office.
The ruling came after Deri announced that he would refrain from making a decision on the issue and forward the issue to another minister in the government, "in order to avoid unnecessary delay that impairs the functioning of the municipality of Tiberias and services for the residents of the city of Tiberias."
