American media reports that a Haredi Jew was stabbed while on his way to a synagogue in Monsey, New York.
Witnesses said that when the man was on his way to the synagogue, when a car was abruptly stopped in front of him and two people got out and started beating him and stabbed him several times.
New York police are investigating the background to the incident.
