An Arab security official has told Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar that "there is a great chance of escalation in the Gaza Strip in the coming weeks, in light of information indicating this is from Israel's direction and due to the internal political crisis in Israel."
The official also said that a decision was made by Islamic Jihad's military arm to respond to the Abu Al-Ata elimination if Israel violates the ensuing ceasefire.
