Yaffa Issachar, the mother of Naama Issachar, who has been imprisoned in Russia since April for marijuan possession, met her unexpectedly on Monday for half an hour in the office of the judge who sentenced her, according to Channel 12 News.
Naama had been brought from the jail to receive the protocol of her seven-year sentence. Yaffa reported that Naama told her, "Mom, I know everyone is behind me but I'm still here, give me hope." Yaffa said the state was acting and making promises and told Naama to hang in there.
