The chairman of the Financial Committee, Moshe Gafni, attacked the High Courts decision regarding the Mayor of Tiberius, Ron Kobi.
Gafni commented, "yesterday when I hear the court's decision regarding the mayor of Tiberius, I feel very bad. The managers left the municipality, there is no budget and the city is almost bankrupt. In this case, laws are in place to have a hearing and make sure that the situation is resolved. In the meantime the court is continuing to stagnate the case and the city is drowning. I feel that if it was a mayor who helped haredis or if the Minister of Interior was secular this would not be the case. It gives the impression that the High Court is not objective in this case. I call to the President of the High Court, people are loosing faith in the system. A city is drowning and the court is enabling it to continue."
