Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel had a phone call on Monday that included an in-depth discussion of the situation in Ukraine, including internal tensions and the flow of natural gas.
They also spoke of the need to stop clashes in Libya as soon as possible and stressed the plight of Syrian refugees in considering what's going on there.
