Life expectancy in Israel, 82.6 years, is higher than the average for member countries in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, according to the OECD's 2019 Comparative Health Review Report, released on Thursday.

The findings of the report indicate that in recent years, there has been a slowdown in the local rate of increase in life expectancy, making it low relative to the organizational average. The report says the proportion of doctors and nurses is low relative to other countries in the OECD.
