The Tel Aviv District Court today meted a life sentence and high financial compensation to 84-year-old Ram Granot who murdered his late wife Sima with a hammer and acid in December 2015.
Granot, a resident of Ramat Hasharon, was convicted last May of aggravated murder in the course of which he struck his wife 19 times with a hammer and strangled her. Granot will pay the children by him and his late wife financial compensation of NIS 258,000.
