Singer Yuval Mendelssohn and his bandmates were arrested yesterday during a performance in Sderot responded on Kann News to reports of police conduct.

"There was no demonstration of force on our part. They ripped us off stage. On my drummer they pulled out a taser gun, they almost broke my keyboardist's hand. Within five minutes, I was already handcuffed and inside the police car. Then I was dragged to a cell and cuffed on my feet as well."

"I'm suspected of two counts. The first is the refusal to identify - which of course is ridiculous. The policeman told me to show an ID card, I told him I didn't have one because I was in the middle of a performance. He didn't ask me what my ID number or my name is. Neither should they. The second charge is a refusal to be detained."

The circumstances of the incident and the cause of detention have not yet become clear.
