Poet Sivan Har Shefi has won the 2019 Doctor Gardner Simon Poetry Prize for her book "Zarqa". The prize is being awarded this year in memory of Nechama Rivlin, late wife of President Reuven Rivlin, who established the prize. Avishai Houri will receive a commendation for his book “How to Make A Chasm”, as will Lee Maman for her book “What This Is Similar To?”.
