The Tel Aviv District Court convicted Maher Abbas of Jaffa and 18 other defendants and sentenced 13 of them for drug trafficking, money laundering, tax evasion, and other offenses.
10 years in prison and a fine of NIS 50,000 were meted to Abbas, 8 years in prison and a fine of 40,000 on Ali Maza'awa, 7.5 years in prison and a fine of NIS 30,000 for Dib al-Tawrith.
