Captive and Missing Prisoner Coordinator Yaron Blum responded to comments by Leah Goldin, mother of Hadar Goldin, who says he is constantly lying to families.
"I don't intend to confront families, I understand the pain," he told Reshet Bet in an interview. "The Goldin family has received detailed answers. I'm sorry about the statements."
He said he estimates there will be no Shalit deal. He said: "Unfortunately, Hamas does not yet understand that something has changed in the Israeli public as well."
He said "we're operating on more than one channel - Hamas isn't yet ripe, but we're on the road to progress."
