Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon has been interviewed by Maariv about the results of the elections and what would happen if he was not re-elected as Finance Minister. The former head of the Kulanu Party said, "I do not depend on anyone but the Creator." Referring to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, he continued, "The [re]connection with Bibi came after four and a half years of working with him as finance minister. True, there were ups and downs, but I hope to continue. After so many years of working together - I do not see him turning his back on me."

Asked about the possibility of his retirement from politics in case he is not rereappointed finance minister, Kahlon said, "I am not stuck to a chair. I will draw conclusions alone and I will not wait for a 'state funeral'."
