In a post on Twitter, Speaker of the Knesset Yuli Edelstein (Likud) attacked US Senator Bernie Sanders (D) for his comment that he would give part of the US aid money to Israel to Gaza instead.
"Bernie Sanders, stop talking nonsense. Just yesterday, I met with representatives of the EU during their visit to the Knesset, and I told them about the absurd claims regarding the economic situation in the Gaza Strip."
