Crossings operated by the Defense Ministry's Crossing Authority between the Palestinian Authority and Israel and overseas embassies will close on Monday due to the escalating crisis between the Finance Minister and the Defense and Foreign Affairs Ministries.
Workers committees at the two ministries launched a strike in light of what they claim is damage by the Treasury to the wages of hundreds of IDF employees and envoys and Foreign Ministry emissaries. Specificly, according to the employees, the Treasury instructed accountants at the ministries to stop certain payments for the first nine months of 2019.
