Member of Knesset Yair Lapid (Blue and White) told the party's Knesset faction on Monday, "A government can be formed within 48 hours. All that [Prime Minister and Likud Party Chairman] Binyamin Netanyahu needs to do is to be [the] second [prime minister] in the rotation [under a unity government]. The State of Israel does not need more elections. It needs us to come back to talk in terms of togetherness, and common goals, and shared values."

Lapid added, "Netanyahu used his 28 days for only one thing - pushing for elections. He wants elections. That's what the lawyers offered him. That's what he needs because of the indictments. That's all he cares about. He wants to go to elections."
