6 suspected antiquities thieves caught at Bilin

Border Police officers in collaboration with IAA inspectors seized 6 Arabs suspected of stealing antiques from the Horbat Bilin antiquities site near Nahala.

They carried out illegal excavations at the site in an attempt to locate valuable ancient artifacts, while doing great damage to the site through tools they had. The suspects, in their 30s and 40s, residents of Rahat, Deir al-Assad and Majd al-Krum were taken for interrogation by the IAA.
