The new Ariel University School of Medicine opened on Sunday with a ceremony attended by United States Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, Dr. Miriam and Sheldon Adelson - namesakes of the school, Deputy Minister of Health Yaakov Litzman and former education minister Naftali Bennett.
Saying the "Shehechiyanu" blessing recited on milestone occasions, Ambassador Friedman said, "A new medical school opens in Samaria. It's worth saying again - a new medical school opens in Samaria. How many people ever thought these words would be said?"
