President Reuven Rivlin visited the Bahá'í World Center in Haifa on Sunday to mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Báb, who was followed by Bahá'u'lláh, founder of the Bahá'í faith.

The president toured the facility and met with members of the center, outgoing World Secretary-General Joshua Lincoln and incoming Secretary-General Dr. David Rothstein. He told them, "The values ​​of personal tolerance and respect that you advocate blend well into two of the mixed cities in Israel - Akko and Haifa. The State of Israel is proud and delighted to host Bahá'í believers, and the World Center of the Bahá'í Faith, which promotes values ​​of peace and coexistence between different denominations and religions."
