The Israel Defense Forces confirmed, Thursday morning that the IDF, Border Guards and forces from the Civil Administration for Judea and Samaria demolished a building in the Al-Am'ari Refugee Camp which was being built in the location of the residence of the family of the terrorist Islam Yusef Abu Hamid, who killed IDF Staff Sergeant Ronen Lubarsky of the "Duvdevan" Commando Unit during operational activity on May 26th, 2018.
IDF troops demolished the residence in December 2018 and recently noticed that new construction had taken place in the location. During the operation, dozens of Arabs instigated a number of riots. The rioters hurled rocks and firebombs at the troops, who responded with riot dispersal means. No IDF injuries were reported. The troops apprehended a number of Hamas operatives and transferred them to security forces for further questioning.
