The leadership of the Samarian Jewish community of Yitzhar has strongly attacked the conduct of the security establishment, defining the demolition of buildings in the nearby hilltop outpost of Kumi Ori as "a violent price tag [revenge vandalism], harming the community's efforts to restore quiet [following recent attacks on soldiers]."
A Yitzhar statement said, "The community expressed its staunch position against harming the soldiers, and of all things because of this, the decision to demolish buildings as an act of punishment is a heavy-handed and invalid act. Such a step, only agitates the spirits, rather than calms them down."
