Minister of Economy and Industry Eli Cohen told Middle East Quartet envoy John Clarke on Tuesday about the need to take action against the Islamic Jihad military arm operating from Gaza against Israel, saying, "We expect all the countries of the world to understand that the money Iran sends to the Gaza Strip is not intended for charitable organizations but only for terrorist activities."
With Cohen also speaking out against the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement and the need to eliminate European anti-Semitism, the two also discussed economic cooperation between the State of Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Minister Cohen promised to review and promote these matters as long as it served Israel's security and economic interests.
