President Reuven Rivlin has expressed sorrow over the death of Rabbi Nissim Karelitz.
Rivlin noted that the rabbi "carried the public yoke of leadership, ruling, teaching and spiritual guidance over sixty years." He added, "His teachings, his modesty and humility, were his signature, a signature of truth, which he carried with him in everything he did."
