Bar-Ilan University reports an increase of 12 percent in the number of students who will start studying in the 5780 (2019-2020) academic year which starts Sunday, compared to the previous school year. Among the faculties showed a significant increase in the number of students: the humanities increased by 20 percent, exact sciences with an 18-percent increase, life sciences with 16 percent and the social sciences increased by 15 percent.
Bar-Ilan President Arie Zaban says the upcoming academic year also includes 13 scientists returning from universities from abroad who chose to set up research labs at Bar-Ilan University. The researchers will be integrated into the faculties of medicine, engineering, life sciences, social sciences and exact sciences.
