Former national security advisor Yaakov Amidror told 103 FM Radio on Thursday, "Now it is clear to us that we are alone," following the withdrawal of United States ground forces from Syria.
The former head of the research division of military intelligence noted, "One of the most important decisions that the State of Israel made when it arose is that we do not depend on anyone, and we, unlike others, build our own power." He added, "We have never asked for a foreign army or planned for a foreign army to come. Nobody planned to fight against Hezbollah and Iran with the help of American troops."
