Israelis who visited Yasser Arafat's grave in Ramallah last week were asked by a Palestinian Authority security official not to speak Hebrew there, according to Yediot Ahronot.
Israelis went there on the initiative of the Israeli Commission for Interaction with Palestinian Society and the leftist organization Re'echa Camocha (Your Neighor as Yourself), after meeting such PA figures as Jibril Rajoub and former Knesset member Taleb As-Sana. An organizer responded, "Maybe someone in our bunch said that it is not worthwhile to speak Hebrew but I did not hear any security person raise such a demand."
