Russian government officials have told Arutz Sheva that the Israeli media's coverage of the Naama Issachar affair has damaged diplomatic efforts to release her.
Issachar was recently sentenced to more than seven years in a Russian prison for possessing nine grams of marijuana. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has formally asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to pardon her.
