Members of the European Parliament Lukas Mandl, Frederique Ries and Carmen Avram are the leading signatories to a letter written on Tuesday, in response to "an event in favour of the EU-listed terror organisation PFP (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine)" on parliament premises.
The letter notes "an intervention of former MEP Nines MAESTRO (GUE, Spain)...a person that has actively contributed to the financing of the above-mentioned terror organisation, name through her links to the convicted terrorist and plane hijacker Leila KHALED." The signatories say, "In respect of the dignity of this house, the European Parliament should not support such nefarious terror supporting events, by granting the organisers conference rooms and even more importantly the appearance of an official event of an EU institution."
