Haifa-based Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Limited completed the first delivery of the Active "Windbreaker" (TROPHY) defense system for the United States Army's Abrams Tanks Division in recent weeks, together with Leonardo and Israel's Elta firm.
The shipment is in accordance with agreements signed in 2018 and early 2019 for a total value of about half a billion dollars. Under these agreements, US ground forces, as well as the US Navy, will equip their armor brigades with Windbreaker (TROPHY) - the only active defense system in the world proven in combat.
