Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu spoke on the phone with German Chancellor Angela Merkel about the anti-Semitic attack yesterday in the Halle, Germany.
The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for Chancellor Merkel's firm stance on antisemitism. Netanyahu said in a conversation that it was important to step up efforts against the phenomenon of antisemitism and the chancellor agreed. Merkel noted that she also intends to step up efforts to secure the Jewish community.
