Jerusalem District Court Judges Arnon Drael dismissed Jerusalem City Council Member Ofer Berkowitz's appeal against Mayor Moshe Leon for signing Leon's name on greeting signs for city residents.
Berkowitz was obligated to pay Leon a lawyer's fee of NIS 5000. Leon announced that the compensation will be donated to nonprofits that works for Jerusalem residents.
"I'm sorry that Ofer is wasting time in court, while the municipal and national public system are not of equal importance, he should stop wastying his time on unnecessary false petitions. I urge Ofer to grow up and stop useless provocations, '' Leon said.
