Public Minister Gilad Erdan told public radio, Thursday morning, "There was an argument with the police department about reinforcing forces in the Arab sector. I pushed for this. The police and [former commissioner Roni] Alsheikh were against."
Regarding allegations Arab Knesset members about his handling of violence in the sector, Erdan said, "I don't think anyone can preach to me after the last four years all the budget increase for the Ministry of Public Security went into investment for the establishment of police stations and police assignments that were never in Arab localities before, so I don't have to prove my intentions, which are true."
