According to the data from the Yeraeh organization for encouraging ascent to the Temple Mount, the number of 360 Jews went up to the Temple Mount on Yom Kippur, compared with 232 on Yom Kippur last year, an increase of 55 percent.
The Ten Days of Repentance between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur saw a total of 1,368 Jews go up, compared with 1,210 last year, a 13-percent increase. Thousands of Jews are expected to make the ascent during the weeklong Succot holiday that starts Sunday night.
