Ahead of the Yom Kippur fast, a general closure was imposed on Judea and Samaria and the crossings to Gaza were closed at midnight. The closure and crossing closings are expected to end Wednesday evening.
In the Old City of Jerusalem, police, Border Guards and reinforcements will be deployed to secure thousands of worshipers. Police and the city will set up checkpoints to prevent vehicles from eastern Jerusalem from entering the rest of the city.
