An estimated 16,300 Jewish worshipers from all over the country went to Hevron's Cave of the Patriarchs (Me'arat Hamachpela) on Sunday as part of the "Exceptional Days of Repentance" event, in which all the halls were opened to Jewish worshipers, following coordination between Israeli and Palestinian Authoritiy officials.
The worshipers arrived from the morning until late at night. All parts of the cave will be open to Jewish worshipers this Wednesday for Yom Kippur and during the Wednesday and Thursday of Succot. (October 16-17).
