National Union leader will approach Jewish Home leader for merger

Chairman Bezalel Smotrich of the National Union told has told party activists at a Sunday-evening New Year's toast, "The current situation cannot continue. I will contact [Jewish Home Party Chairman] Rabbi Peretz so we can go into an immediate merger process."
