MK Ofer Cassif from the Joint List is furious at Interior Minister Aryeh Deri's intention to revoke the Israeli resident status of Omar Barghouti, founder of the Boycott, Divesment and Sanctions movement against Israel.
Cassif said, "There is nothing that scares the occupier more than a non-violent struggle against the occupation, one that sweeps crowds around the world and showcases the crimes of the Israeli government. Omar Barghouti lives here out of rights and not due to pity. We won't let Deri use the sword of deprivation of residency as a political tool for stifling."
