American-Israeli David Blatt has been fired as coach of the Olympiacos Piraeus basketball team after a little more than a season. Blatt confirmed the reports in a statement carried by Eurohoops.
The team was 1-1 in Greece's second division and lost its first Euroleague game. Blatt disclosed this summer that he is suffering from multiple sclerosis.
