Following Thursday morning's meeting between Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Yisrael Beytenu Party Chairman Avigdor Liberman on a unity government, Yisrael Beytenu issued a statement in which it said, "At the meeting, MK Lieberman stated that, in light of the security and economic challenges, the unity government is the order of the hour and additional elections will not materially change the political map."

The statement continued, "The right path is to establish common ground between Yisrael Beytenu, Likud and Blue-and-White, and only then will we discuss the distribution of [cabinet] portfolios and the rotation on the premiership."
