Interior Minister Aryeh Deri today announced through his office Director Mordechai Cohen to Tiberias and Yarka City Council members and to the heads of local authorities in both localities, that the councils are dispersed in accordance with section 206 of the municipal ordinance due to the council's budget disapproval.
The minister's bureau noted that the city councils of Rahat and Usfiyya's budgets were approved during the extension period granted them by Minister Deri.
Interior Ministry Director Mordechai Cohen summoned the heads of authorities and members to a hearing to be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at the Interior Ministry in Jerusalem. This, to formulate a recommendation that will be forwarded to Interior Minister Deri.
The Interior Minister will decide whether to continue the term of office of the said authorities, or to oust them and to appoint an authority head approved by the Interior Ministry.
